Two birds heard calling from a tall pine plantation with natural forest and a stream across the road in Spring. The first part of this recording has the typical trill (4 times) and the second part has the extremely soft contact 'chip' call, also 4 times.

Some filtering but still plenty of noise. Call is quiet but otherwise clear; three repetitions with a trill at the end of the last one. Two or more birds? Recorded in humid and dense stream side thicket under remnant forest canopy. A scarce bird in Kenya.

Whistling sound of a green twinspot. Not as commonly heard as their usual high-pitched 'tsweeep' sounds. The bird was in a dense foliage tree very close to me. Unfortunately there is little chance of recording this without other sounds in the background (recorded in suburb).

The twinspots have been in this tree for several months, but only at this time (November) did they start singing this whistling song. Seems to be always only one bird whistling, although there are probably up to 8 twinspots (have seen them feeding).

It's a very delicate sound. I was holding my phone (recording) up close to the tree (from a top window) and yet it is still quite soft. Best listened to with sound high, or with phone speakers at your ear - such a precious delicate sound.
