natural vocalization; calls from a pair of adults in an extensive bout of copulation. During this cut the male bird mounted and dismounted the female several times, but spent almost the entirety of the time mounted. I am not sure which bird is giving which call. Habitat was fairly dry tundra on a slope, just below a rocky peak and just above an extensive area of wet tundra and willow.
