Spot-fronted Swift - Cypseloides cherriei Benjamin Van Doren 2015-01-13 Reserva Jorupe, Loja, Ecuador, Loja (Ecuador)   - Recorded by Benjamin Van Doren. Approximately 30 birds circling overhead, occasionally chasing each other. At first, heard vocalizing multiple times overhead around 8:02 AM but remained unseen. Very rapid calls, often equated to laser fire. 'Wop-wop-wee-bow-bow.' Unlike the constant twittering of Short-tailed Swift (Tumbes). Later refound at 8:45 AM higher up the trail. A good sized, fairly tight flock kettling somewhat low above the treeline. Interestingly doing a lot of gliding, fanning out their tails in the process. 24834941
