Approximately 30 birds circling overhead, occasionally chasing each other. At first, heard vocalizing multiple times overhead around 8:02 AM but remained unseen. Very rapid calls, often equated to laser fire. 'Wop-wop-wee-bow-bow.' Unlike the constant twittering of Short-tailed Swift (Tumbes). Later refound at 8:45 AM higher up the trail.
