  • Pachysylvia hypoxantha hypoxantha: southeastern Colombia to far southwestern Venezuela and far northwestern Brazil (south to the Amazon River)
  • Pachysylvia hypoxantha fuscicapilla: eastern Ecuador and northern Peru (southward to Río Marañón)
  • Pachysylvia hypoxantha icterica: western Brazil, far southeastern Peru (Puno), and northern Bolivia
  • Pachysylvia hypoxantha albigula: Brazil south of the Amazon River (Rio Purus to west bank of Rio Tapajós)
