one nice adult song at 1:02; the screech that is throughout the rest of the recording was thought to perhaps be a begging young bird, but no proof of that; interval shortened at 2:58, for another adult song, more distant, a couple of minutes later; and shortened at 3:08 from 6:12 a.m., same territory; and 3:21 from 6:13 a.m., with the bees coming out now;

Natural vocalization

the last several songs show a little more rise and fall and the note shape is a little more of a sickle; I think it is the same bird as the start, just more excited by each other and/or the close and loud Mottled Owl;

not seen; singing at 11 a.m.; as pure speculation, the pair of trogons had been inspecting cavities, and perhaps woke up the screech-owl???; from fairly high in the shade trees of shade coffee plantation;

We initially used playback for detection, then two males proceeded to have territorial dispute, with one coming close giving this agitated song. Recorded with iPhone XR with Rode Rec app. I used high pass filter, noise reduction, and amplification in Audacity. Same bird as XC461157, XC461158, and XC461159.
