Asthenes wyatti (Sclater, PL; Salvin, O 1871)

The streak-backed canastero is a species of bird in the family Furnariidae. It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland. Seven subspecies are recognized: Source: Wikipedia

Asthenes wyatti: grassy, Espeletia, and shrubby paramo, arid montane scrub, puna grassland, and Polylepis woodland edges in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Sierra de Perijá, and the Andes of western Venezuela and northeastern Colombia (southward to Cundinamarca); in Ecuador from northern Carchi southward to northern Loja, and patchily along the Andes of Peru from Cajamarca southeastward to Bolivia and northwestern Argentina (southward to northern Mendoza) in the sierras of Córdoba and San Luis
