  • Polioptila bilineata bilineata: northern Colombia to western Peru (northern La Libertad)
  • Polioptila bilineata superciliaris: Pacific and Atlantic lowlands of Costa Rica and Panama, probably also adjacent northwestern Colombia
  • Polioptila bilineata brodkorbi: Atlantic lowlands of southeastern Mexico (northward to southern Veracruz and northeastern Oaxaca) southward to eastern Nicaragua, intergrading with superciliaris in northern Costa Rica
