Male calling from song post atop Mt Rondon at 2300 m, with Brown Sicklebill also present there. A quiet drumming sound was also audible but not taped, and a nasal 'eyow' call that may have been from a female bird. Note how different this call is from the nominate in West Papua.

There are four calls on this recording: the 1st, 2nd, and 4th from a Black Sicklebill and the 3rd call from a Brown Sicklebill. I'm not sure of the coordinates for this location. It was a one-hour hike in the early morning from Rondon Lodge to the top of nearby hill at about 2600 to 2800 meters elevation.
