| Tricolored Blackbird - Agelaius tricolor | Andrew Spencer | 2013-07-18 | Algoma Road, Klamath Falls, Klamath Co., Oregon, Klamath (United States) (1300 m) | call - natural vocalizations; calls from a flock of about 20 birds perched in a large juniper located at the edge of an agricultural/shrubland interface. The flock was mostly females and older juveniles, with a few adult males. During this cut I saw adult females make almost every call in the cut, but the lower pitched calls at, for example, 1:18 came at least some of the time from male birds. bird-seen:yes playback-used:no |

| Tricolored Blackbird - Agelaius tricolor | Andrew Spencer | 2013-07-18 | Algoma Road, Klamath Falls, Klamath Co., Oregon, Klamath (United States) (1300 m) | call - natural vocalizations; calls from some of a flock of 20 birds perched in a large juniper tree. The harsh calls at the beginning of the cut came from an adult male bird, as did the call at 0:14.5, but other than that I'm not sure whether males or females were giving the calls. bird-seen:yes playback-used:no |

| Tricolored Blackbird - Agelaius tricolor | Andrew Spencer | 2013-07-18 | Algoma Road, Klamath Falls, Klamath Co., Oregon, Klamath (United States) (1300 m) | call - natural vocalizations; calls from a female bird flying from a large juniper tree at an agricultural/shrubland interface back towards the agricultural area. There were some older juvenile birds in the flock and the females were flying in and out to get food, so I suspect this female was attending a fledgling. bird-seen:yes playback-used:no |

These birds were part of a loose flock of 30 or so Tricolored, many Brewer's Blackbirds, and some Brown-headed Cowbirds. The calls towards the end of the cut made in flight. bird-seen:yes playback-used:no |

| Tricolored Blackbird - Agelaius tricolor | Joshua Jaeger | 2016-04-21 | Poway, San Diego County, California, San Diego (United States) (300 m) | call, male, song - This is the first adult male I've seen in nearly a year at this location, and it is also the second time I've recorded one at this location. In addition, the eucalyptus tree it was in was adjacent to the one where I made my recording last year- near the boat dock, but this time, the bird was more vocal, and there was far less people around to cause background commotion. bird-seen:yes playback-used:no

Most of the calls in this cut given by female birds as far as I could tell. The louder calls starting at 1:18 are from a female that flew into the tree with food in her mouth and worked her way down towards an older juvenile bird. I never heard that bird call while being approached or fed. At around 2:25 a large portion of the flock flew out of the tree, and the focus of the recording follows them. bird-seen:yes playback-used:no |
