This recording was collected at early sunrise in dry hills with 1 meter boulders and scattered shrubs. Several Black-fronted Francolin were moving along the hillside. Most of the recording are songs from an unidentified warbler (?), which are the higher pitched calls heard regularly on the recording. The Francolin gives a set of soft growling sounds at 9 to 11 seconds and 44 to 46 seconds on this recording, as well as one or two calls softly heard in several other places on the recording.

The Francolins are heard with a series of five or six croaking notes. There are some unidentified calls from other species.
