Sound clip normalised only for more volume on poor cell-phone recording. This bird is the first to awaken very early in the morning (total darkness). The song and mimicry is slightly different each morning, including tempo, and goes on for up to half an hour or more. There is a possibility that it may be a Red-capped Robin-chat, although I have identified a thrush later in broad daylight making some of the sounds in between its regular characteristic song and calls, and the local robin-chat usually starts an hour later in the mornings.
