Cinnamon Woodpecker - Celeus loricatus Kent Livezey 2017-03-09 Pipeline Road, Panama, Colón (Panama) (70 m) call, drumming, female, male, song -

Four Cinnamon Woodpeckers (presumably a family group) were calling and singing as they drummed (e.g., 0:01, 0:10, 0:14) and pecked (e.g., 0:09, 0:16, 0:20) while foraging. Here they voiced three types of songs: (e.g., 1:27, 1:55, 2:13). I shortened this recording to meet XC length requirements, thereby taking out several minutes that included lots of pecking and small amounts of singing.

Cinnamon Woodpecker - Celeus loricatus Kent Livezey 2017-03-03 Pipeline Road, Panama, Colón (Panama) (70 m) call, song -

Three types of songs or calls of Cinnnamon Woodpecker are presented in this recording: (1) harsh chatter (0:00), (2) soft chatter (0:07, 1:04), and (3) a shortened version of its typical song (0:15, 0:55). In addition, there are two examples of a rapid succession of soft chatter and the shortened, typical song (0:30, 1:28). I moved closer to the woodpeckers, thereby creating some noise.
