• Automolus ochrolaemus: tropical rain forest from eastern Panama and northwestern Colombia southward along the Pacific lowlands to central-west Ecuador and southward along the Río Magdalena valley to the upper basin in Tolima; widespread east of the Andes in the Río Orinoco and Amazon River basins from central and eastern Venezuela and the Guianas southward and southwestward to Amazonia in eastern Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, southward to central Bolivia (in western Santa Cruz), and in Brazil eastward to Amapá and central-east Pará, southward to eastern Mato Grosso
• Automolus ochrolaemus ochrolaemus: tropical eastern Peru to northern Bolivia and western Brazil
• Automolus ochrolaemus turdinus: tropical northern and western Amazon basin (north of Amazon River)
• Automolus ochrolaemus auricularis: northeastern Bolivia (Río Beni) and western Brazil (Rio Purus to Rio Tapajós)
