Scott's Oriole - Icterus parisorum Richard E. Webster 2020-04-15 Round Valley, Chiricahua Mountains, Cochise Co., Arizona, Cochise (United States) (1300 m) adult, call, complex song, female, male, song -

two adult males calling inside a large, isolated juniper, giving a solitaire-like call; one left, then the other bird called a few more times and then went to an exposed perch on top of the 9 m juniper to sing after 2:00; a female was there, and the male joined her inside the juniper after 5:04 when there was complex song, and calling by both (different types) and a few wingbeats, and I could not see what happened (copulation?), then the male flew off a long distance at 6:34, the female remaining, quivering wings a little on an exposed perch on top; interpretation might be male-male competition, female courted by remaining male;
