  • Charadrius alexandrinus dealbatus: SE China; winters to se Asia, Malay Peninsula
  • Charadrius alexandrinus nihonensis: breeds coasts of extreme southeastern Russia, Sakhalin, the Kuril Islands, northern Japan, and perhaps northeastern China; nonbreeding range unknown
  • Charadrius alexandrinus seebohmi: SE India and Sri Lanka
  • Charadrius nivosus nivosus: US to Mexico and West Indies; winters to Panama
