Bird was in the hand. While held in the bander's grip, it did not sing, but did sing when held in the photographer's grip. Bird was only 30 cm from the recorder. Song was soft, it would not carry far. Juveniles caught earlier this month did not sing in the hand; adults caught two years ago did. Several mimic songs were repeated; one was like a Red-tailed Hawk, some like an Acorn Woodpecker. the soft warble seems unique.
