Bird was seen foraging at about 2 meters up in thick bush and tree habitat, jumping/flying rapidly between trees and branches while foraging and calling all the time. It came across as being excited and pumped with adrenaline catching lots of small insects. Healthy individual. Foraging in the bush and tree habitat behind the Eagles Fare restaurant in Walter Sisulu Botanical Garden. I had the fortune of having an open window view from within restaurant to the bird, so the Oriole was not aware of me eavesdropping. The lovely bird and the recording was done with the bird mostly around 5 meters away from me.

Behavior: Foraging, rapidly jumping between lower branches about 2 meters from ground looking for food while favoring a 30 square meter area while calling and me recording.

Plumage: Healthy bird in good condition. with distinguished black and yellow plumage.

Background species being Red-eyed dove (Streptopelia semitorquata) and Southern Boubou (Laniarius ferrugineus) can briefly be heard at 34 seconds into the recording.
