Unmodified recording made a half mile farther along the trail after XC796351, XC796360 and XC796363 presumably by a different Florida Scrub Jay. The habitat was an open sandy area with tall pines and various shrubs scattered among palmettos. Several family groups of Florida Scrub Jays were seen here that day. The jays often flew down to the ground to forage and made various sounds while on the ground. The bird in this recording was perched about 3 meters up at the top of a bare shrub. It made the call just once.

Unmodified recording. Three Florida Scrub Jays were in tree above my head. Recording has the sound of their bill clicking as well as two kinds of calls. Pine and palm trees dot this habitat of mostly low vegetation, including palmettos, small Sabal Palms, a few shrubs and many grasses. Some of the ground is very white sand with earth stars.

It called a few times and then landed on my parabula. It then called a few more time from my parabula. I had to lower the gain.
