  • Megascops roraimae: humid montane forest in the coastal mountains of northern Venezuela, in Yaracuy eastward to Miranda and in Monagas and Sucre, westward to the Andes of Venezuela and Sierra de Perijá, and southward along the Amazonian slope of the eastern Andes of Colombia and Ecuador to western Bolivia, in La Paz and adjacent Beni; also in the tepuis and the Guianan plateau in eastern and southern Venezuela, Guyana, locally in Suriname and French Guiana, and southward to far northern Brazil in Roraima
