Double-toothed Kite - Harpagus bidentatus Oliver Komar 2017-06-12 Departamento de Copán, Copán (Honduras) (1000 m) call -

Possibly a courtship call. Two adults were present. Bird(s) give soft whistles between 8-13 secs, and again (but more distant) between 18-20 secs. I observed one adult pass a large insect to the other shortly after recording the vocalizations. Photos and a copy of this recording were uploaded to Macaulay Library. This is the first recording for Honduras and only the third for Central America on XC.
