Tropical Shearwater - Puffinus bailloni bailloni Nikolas K Haass 2019-10-21 Christmas Island, Christmas Island (Australia) (3 m) adult, nocturnal flight call -

This Tropical Shearwater flew in after sunset calling loudly. It made a few passes by flying up and down the coastal road (Jln Pantai) past Masjid At-Taqwa. Likely the same individual was observed by Lisa Preston, Hickson Fergusson et al. at the exact same location and demonstrating the exact same behaviour in August 2017 and August 2018. No photographs were taken in October 2019, but photos from previous observations show field marks of Tropical Shearwater, however, with predominantly white undertail coverts, outermost undertail coverts black-tipped. Initially ID'd as P. b. nicolae, but now considering P. b. bailloni. Are there differences in flight calls between these two taxa?
