| Strong-billed Woodcreeper - Xiphocolaptes promeropirhynchus sclateri | Andrew Spencer | 2015-03-20 | Cerro San Felipe, Oaxaca, Oaxaca (Mexico) (2900 m) | call, song - natural vocalization; calls from one of a pair of birds, with the other of the pair singing constantly in the background. The calling bird also gives an especially long song at 1:43. Both birds were moving at mid-height through tall pine forest with a dense understory, and appeared to be agitated though I was unable to determine the source of their agitation (no playback was used). The calling bird hard a notably shorter bill than the other individual. bird-seen:yes playback-used:no
